Rate-Based Operations Planning is aimed at the Planning LeanBelt. This course deals with sales inventory, operations planning, and scheduling, using rate-based planning information (customer through supplier). The Rate-based Scheduling toolset includes finite capacity line scheduling techniques and mixed model sequencing. Concepts of broadcast and sharing rate-based information are discussed in detail to drive the lean process design requirements. Participants will learn how to leverage lean with rate-based tools to build what the customer wants (i.e. flex, rate and cost).
